2007 Felton Road Riesling. Almost clear in the glass this young wine exhibits a nose of sweet lemons, mandarin and white peach. The palate is finely boned, mouth watering and focussed with white peach, honey suckle and orange. Also hints of orange marmalade on the finish. Gentle and pure fruit expression all wrapped in soft ripe acids, with a silky texture driven from the balanced sweetness offered. It all moves onto a long persistent finish. Benchmark stuff, pure, delicate and expressive. 97/109
