 1994 Jim Barry Armagh Shiraz. This iconic Australian Shiraz now retails for 5x + what I paid for this vintage at over $200 a bottle which just seems extreme. The nose is very complex and rich with notes of blackberry, raspberry liquorice, coffee and cocoa. The palate is full of confection blackberries and a huge whack of dark chocolate and cocoa. Very integrated and smooth. To be honest this is no longer my style of wine but you can see this is a well cellared quality flagship shiraz. Drinking well now. 94/109
