2007 Church Road Reserve Chardonnay. This is a brilliant wine which is adding weight to the incredible resurgence of this once tired brand we have seen over the last two or three years. The nose ripples with grapefruit citrus and fresh marmalade. The palate is juicy with grapefruit, lemon and marmalade notes. It is very noticeable that the oak handling is so subtle and the fruit, with its natural acidity provides the structure and weight in this wine. Very impressive and to me this is even superior to the high performing 2006 version. Again, this is also well priced and good buying. $30 98/109
