 2007 Unison Syrah. This is perhaps the first real sign that Syrah is the new signature variety for Unison Vineyards. It is even a step up on the excellent 2006 vintage. It is a plush wine exhibiting that texture that looks like it could be a characteristic of the 2007 vintage. As a result it is more textural than its predecessors with very ripe black fruits among elegant powdery tannins. A long and graceful finish. A wine that will easily impress and be noted by those drinking it. A stellar effort 99/109
